Firkin

Pronounced /ferken/
noun, historical

A firkin is a barrel, equivalent to 10.8 gallons, that holds cask-conditioned ale.

The beer has less carbonation, a smoother mouthfeel, and since it is unfiltered, the beer results in more complex flavors and aromas.
